How long will it take?

An average sale or purchase, from the time an offer is accepted will take an average of 8 – 10 weeks.

The process can be quicker or slower, depending on who else in in the chain.  For example, if the buyer or seller hasn’t got a mortgage offer then that will take extra time.  Sometimes if there is a new build buyer in the chain, that can mean the process takes a bit longer.

Leasehold transactions can take a while; for example, if there is a lease that needs an extension or if the details of the lease are not easily available.

Disputes

Sadly, sometimes you will have disputes relating to your property, which might be connected to  covenants, rights of way or boundary issues.  If you are in a dispute, we have a specialist property litigation service which can help you resolve your issue.

Our fees are very competitive.  We will provide you with a fixed fee quote at the outset of the transaction.  If for any reason, your transaction does not proceed to completion we will charge you a discounted rate with respect to our fees.
